The Magic

Let me describe to you the magic of my final day of vacation. Picture in your mind....

Free breakfast at a cheap hotel. But you know what, it did the job. Then my two buddies from SD and LA meet me and off we go to ride! My original buddy for this trip had to bail, so meeting other friends on their own downhill road trip was great!

Boom, hit the resort with 50% off the lift tickets, trails to ourselves and cool temps.

We hit every feature, trail and then some. Sessioned stuff, got great video and rode for 4 hours before the rain came down. Yes, a freaking crazy rainstorm in July! The mud was soo thick and sticky we had to wash it off with a pressure washer after a few runs just so the bikes could work. Mud would get soo jammed into the bikes that the wheels would not even turn. Tons of fun! Or I guess what normal people call "skecthy".

Totally soaked we come into town and just gorge ourselves on bbq. Sweet, spicy, smokey barbeque. Food baby.

Then we decide we still have it in us to ride. We're downhillers, so what do we do? Shuttle! Boom, get up to 8,200' altitude above the town and hit a 4 mile flow trail, just zooming through trees and rocks.

Hot tub, shower, rest for a bit. Oh and a quick trip to WalMart. WalMart deserves every negative stereotype or fact about it. And they almost all (except the town is lilly white, so not quite all) were on prominent display for my enjoyment and horror.

THEN, it is off to a bar. Yes, a bar in Utah. Who knew? Dueling pianos. Which was my first experience with that sort of thing. Humor, singing, seeing my friends get blitzed (actually the second time in two day....) it was actually a pretty fun thing.

And now, here I am at the "Quality" Inn, giving you sweet reminiscence of my final vacation day. I'm sure you wish you could have seen it. Oh wait, we got video. but you'll never see it!
