Things you probably didn't know about me:
1. I want to learn how to play the xylophone. I have a metal and wooden childs version, but I'd really like a full size one. Or marimba. Either way. I love how it sounds, I love the idea of playing one. I can think back to being in music class as a 4th grader and getting to pick from any instrument in the class and always going to the xylophone. Plus you get mallets!
2. I listen to the Radio Classics channel for hours on end when in the truck. Maybe it's tied to my love of classic monster movies. Maybe it's the long hours spent with my paternal grandmother on Saturdays watching movies with her. I don't know... All I know is these radio shows from before TV are super enjoyable to me. I like the stories, the voices, the personalities, the effects and everything. It makes me nostalgic for an era long before I was even born.
Suspense, Nero Wolf, Great Gildersleeves, Abbott and Costello, X -1, Johnny Dollar and so on. Satellite preset series three, button #4 gets me to channel 82 everytime. Well, I hardly leave it but for a quick trip to the classic hip-hop/rap station.
3. I have a couple of recurring nightmares. One is of my teeth crumbling and breaking in my mouth. Leaving me with an extremely painful and horrible looking condition needing extensive, costly and painful dental procedures.
The other is being chased by generic 'bad guys' or zombies. I run and fight as hard as I can but am unable to escape and the capture, torture and kill me every time. I normally awake screaming at that point.
4. I once drank an entire 2 quart pitcher of black cherry Kool-Aide in one go, no stopping. And didn't vomit.
5. I shave my armpit hair. Just with electric clippers, not like razor and cream. I think my deodorant works better this way. And as I'm not very hairy it just keeps me looking the same all over.
6. I hate walking. I'd rather run places. Walking to me is not something one does for fun. Walking is work, and if I'm going to walk I have to be in a serious mind set. Otherwise I either want to run or do anything else but walk. Unless I can walk in a meandering manner.
So how many of these did you know? How many would you have guessed?
