1-My 1st smart phone. A Samsung Galaxy S. The total anti-iphone, so I'm very happy with using all the Google and Android apps. Normally I am an early adopter of things but I really really resisted smart phones. Until now.
2-For lunch today I ate 2 french dip sandwiches that I made at home. One a traditional beef and the other turkey. Not sure if I really need dinner now so I should probably just eat dessert instead.
3-Of the 3 different community colleges in San Diego, but the time I was allowed to register there was not a single microbiology class open. Three colleges, zero classes. And it's not like I don't pay enough taxes in California.... Now I have to 'crash' as many of these classes I can in the first week hoping to get an add code. So I am not even bothering to take fencing, tennis or photography as I want to just totally focus on getting this class.
4-I have now only been to 4 funerals in my life. My grandparent's funerals on my dad's side and a classmates parent's back in high school. Number 4 was my doctor's this morning. Hearing about his personal life, he really was a prototype for Magnum P.I. Picture that character and you'd have my doctor 100%.
As an aside, some people really need to learn some funeral dress etiquette. No dresses soo skimpy I can see your butt or all of your boobs. No white. No floral prints. And don't make it obvious you were a previous lover. and turn your damn phone off!
5- This afternoon I ran 10 kilometers. Basically 6 miles or so. The first 5k I ran in 21:22, which is a pretty good time for me for not having trained in running at all.

And dessert is...a peanut buster parfait, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteI'm not against wearing a floral to a funeral, or even white. But yes, wearing something revealing is in poor taste. Not like he's going to jump out of the urn for one last leer at your chest.
Did you get on a wait list for micro? If not, don't even bother going. Not kidding. They usually allow 5-6 people waitlist and lately they are only letting 1 or maybe 2 if a registered student doesn't show for the first day.
ReplyDeleteI got into my chem class last semester because I was #1 on the waitlist and that's all she took. Its all dependent on the lab availability.
I'm number #2 on the waitlist for my Anatomy class, I've got my fingers crossed.
