Fake grass, fake warrior, faking tanning, real leather, real fur.
Crazy!
So I picked up my costume for the Warrior Run this Saturday up in Lake Elsinore. KW did an awesome job. Real fur and leather!! The only thing to add is some black body paint in random stripes and I will do that tomorrow morning.
I like this costume more and more. It actually seems very North American Indian rather than barbarian to me. If I was thinking I should have cut my hair as a mohawk and then shaved it after the race. Darn it!! But as a direct descendant of Pocahontas I'm allowed to wear this outfit.
What's that you say? I'm not supposed to be running this race? Well guess what, I have a history of doing things I'm not supposed to! Don't act surprised. As a concession though I am probably going to walk most of it and avoid the water and mud stuff.
This costume is too cool, I was gonna go and pick up my race packet anyways, so what the heck. I can't make anything worse by doing it. So yeah, rowdy style all day, all the way!!
And it is a heck of a lot cooler than my tight shorts and cut off tshirt costume I was dared to wear for a previous mud run!! (wow, that was 6 years ago and i think i look better now, sick, than i did then...)
Why am I not surprised?
