In doing more research for my own personal knowledge, my book and concern for humanity in general I went to a presentation in Chula Vista tonight about the drug war at the border and its effects on border communities.
The presentation was 30 minutes of primarily open source intelligence of things on the national level. It really seemed to just be a meeting to get people in the community involved in some sort of action group.
Not for me. I wanted to hear more and know more and especially as things are on the local level. That did not happen. A candid 45 minutes with a police captain or CBP officer would have yielded more.
