Avulsion Fracture

My pediatrician neighbor says this will require surgery to correct!!!!
My complete lack of football skill + my competitive drive =an avulsion fracture on my left ring finger.

An avulsion fracture is the tendon's attachment point breaking from the bone. When I go to close my left hand my ring finger just points outward, unable to close into a fist. It is quite funny to see, here is a picture of me making "a fist."

  1. What is it called when your tendon separates and takes a chunk of the bone with it? That is what happens on the side of my feet.
