Ugh

I'm thinking of going gluten free..... Do any of my readers have any feed back on this? Worth it or is it crap? Easy to transition or very hard?

What do you think?

  1. I tried a 2 week gluten elimination diet to rule out a sensitivity. It was difficult. Gluten seems to be in everything. Could always do a trial for a week or two and see how it works for you. Whole Foods Supermarket (if there's one near you) has a huge selection of things.

  2. Yes, Whole Foods does have a huge selection of things that are Gluten Free, and anyone that I know who has done it has had positive experiences with it. Henry's and Trader Joe's have some gluten free items as well.

  3. I had a roommate who periodically went gluten-free. The food tasted pretty normal and you can find gluten-free stuff lots of places. Windmill Farms has some good options, if I remember correctly.

  4. Rowdy- You know, I try to follow gluten free very loosely. I don't eat bread and pasta, and I always buy gluten free or rice-based cereals. I'm not completely strict, for example, I will eat croutons in a Caesar salad.

    I also try to stay away from sugar and dairy. Again, not at a "strict" level.

    I can tell you, the less glutens, sugar, and dairy I consume, the better my energy level, digestion, and overall demeanor.

    Why not give it a try?
