I tried a 2 week gluten elimination diet to rule out a sensitivity. It was difficult. Gluten seems to be in everything. Could always do a trial for a week or two and see how it works for you. Whole Foods Supermarket (if there's one near you) has a huge selection of things.
ReplyDeleteYes, Whole Foods does have a huge selection of things that are Gluten Free, and anyone that I know who has done it has had positive experiences with it. Henry's and Trader Joe's have some gluten free items as well.
ReplyDeleteI had a roommate who periodically went gluten-free. The food tasted pretty normal and you can find gluten-free stuff lots of places. Windmill Farms has some good options, if I remember correctly.
ReplyDeleteRowdy- You know, I try to follow gluten free very loosely. I don't eat bread and pasta, and I always buy gluten free or rice-based cereals. I'm not completely strict, for example, I will eat croutons in a Caesar salad.
ReplyDeleteI also try to stay away from sugar and dairy. Again, not at a "strict" level.
I can tell you, the less glutens, sugar, and dairy I consume, the better my energy level, digestion, and overall demeanor.
Why not give it a try?
We would totally have to try it out to see if we could really do it.
