Late last night I wrote a post about things that irritated me.
One of my favorite sayings I use internally is "be the motor, not the anchor", meaning I want to be something or someone that moves things forward. I don't want to be the force or actor that holds a group back.
Just like I wanted the NOTW sticker folks to go into the world and be a net positive force for good in the world around them, countering the things they feel are "bad".
So in being the motor that will move a positive life forward I am going to list some good things about today.
-I get to have lunch with Super D. Of delicious pizza.
-I was able to get almost 6 hours of sleep.
-The rain is letting up.
-I was able to train BJJ at my house with 3 friends for a hour and a half this morning.
-I feel healthy and strong even though I am below my ideal weight.
-My computer is still working even though I feel I need to get something done for it, virus clean up wise.
-I am generally smiling and happy today.
-I am one day closer to getting my hair cut.
-I am off taking antibiotics. This should give the digestive probiotics I am taking a chance to work.
-I had all the hot water I wanted in my shower today.
-I am one day closer to starting the Certification Course for my new job endeavor.
So there, twice as many good things versus what I complained about earlier. =) A net positive.
And a picture of me smiling to add even more happiness to it. This was taken near the top of Mt Diablo in the East Bay area in 2005. That year and that place hold multiple good memories for me. Thus the big silly grin.
Thank you! That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love it when you smile like that. It's contagious.
