also, i was out with R. from the racers and chasers mountain bike seriesi (www.racersandchasers.com) helping to make a super d course at a new location.
what does that really mean? 7 hours of swinging a pick ax in the 90 degree riverside county sun.
i actually did smile most of the day.
my rig.
how you haul an ax around on a motorcycle. strap it down and sit on it.
what i had to cut through all day.
this is what happens when you wear shorts and work on making trail all day. at least i never sun burned with this additional help from nature's sunscreen, dirt.
tomorrow is my first race up at rim nordic in their super d series. M. helped me prep my bike tonight so i have no mechanical excuses for a poor showing. the course is supposedly pretty tame and very xc like. meh, i'll give it a shot. i like competing anyways.
(i hope people like the course i'm making for R.'s race series... it's very technical. some pedaling. soft sandy dirt. off camber corners. a few jumps. a big boulder to ride over. i think it will be great!)
Looks just like the pics I'm about to post, only a different landscape & dirt color - RED! :)
