-i spent the past two days working in Ocean Beach for a friend. his wife is opening her own acupuncture and chinese medicine center and i helped put in the new floors. my friend has the entrepreneurial spirit in a big way and has started a few of his own businesses. my family also has a strong history of starting their own businesses in accounting, real estate and investments. i on the other hand have always just been an employee.
i have had a few ideas of things to do but none of them have really panned out. my fictional novel about San Diego being ground zero in the drug wars has stalled. my website for patients to get easy to understand information about how much radiation they receive in medical imaging procedures and track it, well i let my ownership of the URL i had lapse and just have a stack of data sitting in the closet.
my buddy and i today though talked about starting our own business together, relating to our shared hobby of motorcycling. hmmmmm..... i am starting to write up a real business plan. there are some serious questions but it seems viable.
finally, i received soo much praise of the paintings i am thinking of starting an Etsy account and selling my paintings. me, painting....
evidently i have some creativity, a decent work ethic and a so-so ability to finish things.
hmmm, creativity, spare time, a plan and a need for some $$. can it happen?

I really like the Etsy domain. My 14 year old cousin is even on it selling phone charms! :) It's a great starting point with little pressure. You get what you put into it. Go for it!
