Happy Mother's Day!

I am thankful my mom agreed to my awesome name.
I am thankful my mom didn't trade me for a car when a childless couple wanted a baby.
I am thankful my mom taught me to think for myself and to question authority.
I am thankful my mom encouraged me to "run free" when I was growing up.
I am thankful to my mom for a brother and sisters.
I am thankful for my mom loving me when I acted like I didn't love her as a teenager.
I am thankful for my mom teaching me to love reading and knowledge, that being smart is a good thing.
I am thankful for my mom encouraging me to be fearless, even if it meant paying me money to jump out of my 2nd story bedroom window.
I am thankful for my mom listening to all my relationship drama through the years.
I am thankful for my mom's strength, courage, faith and help during all my problems with Crohns.
I am thankful my mom is playful, athletic and competitive.
I am thankful for my mom's example as she has also grown and developed as a person.

I love you mom.
!!Happy Mother's Day!!

  3. Thank you for reminding me that one of these days (years) my teenager will grow up & thank me for loving her through the moments where she says she hates me. Luckily, there haven't been many in a while. Let's hope it lasts! :)
