In a flash of "brilliance" tonight I thought I figured out what I wanted, "thing" wise. If I'm gonna drop major coin, might as well make it something substantial. Something that will last and have value.

When Killer left for Korea I gave him my Bulova watch that I'd bought myself as a graduation gift for college. About $500 at the time.

Tonight I rolled to Fashion Valley with $5,000 in my pocket to buy a Rolex stainless steel Submariner. They are $7,000. I had another grand hidden at home but still..... I was dashed. Here I was thinking I was going to get something grand. A legacy piece my heirs could inherit. Something classic, with lasting substance beyond any motorcycle I want.

And I was $1,000 short. (plus tax)

Dang.

    that is one big chunk of change! but if you know exactly what you want, i say go for it!

    btw, thanks for the running advice :) "it's only pain" is what got me through my hill training!

The housekeeper said today I look like a gangster or mafioso. Do you agree? So I posted on FB a picture of my agility ladder and talked about how I use it for training for shooting. Most people kind of questioned it or dismissed it outright. Then I see a famous person posts a video of him today on FB using one and everyone thinks it's a great new idea.
