Rejection Monday

I couldn't buy a parking pass for college as I didn't have an ID yet.
I couldn't get an ID as I wasn't registered for any classes.

I went to 5 sections of Microbiology trying to "crash" the course. 24 spots in each of the three classes on Mon/Wed of Tu/Th. Trying to get into the Mon/Wed classes each class had its full roster of 24. Each class had all 8 people on the waiting list show up. And then there were between 12 and 22 people like me trying to 'crash' the course.

After being there from 9am until 6pm and being pointedly told by each professor of each class that unless I was in the top 2 or possibly 3 of the wait list, there was zero chance of me getting into the class I left.

During the day I even texted a friend going to Grossmont to check and see if she could register for Micro to see if they had any classes open. None at Grossmont or Cuyamaca.

I am not going to even bother tomorrow trying for the Tue/Thur classes as I already know they are full and the wait lists are full.

In an effort to try and salvage something out of this experience I thought I would try and register tonight for some "fun" classes just so I would be used to going a certain place at a certain time, getting a grade and having some fun.

Fencing. Closed.

And when I got home I had rejection letters from PA schools waiting for me. Rejection Monday.

  1. This sucks. Were you at City or Mesa, or both? What about Friday evening/Saturday lab classes? School is getting crazy, as you can tell, however, for the last couple of years I've been going through the CC system its gotten worse and worse. Last semester my chem teacher only took the first student from the waitlist, which was me. No one else.

I go to Anatomy tomorrow, on the waitlist. We'll see.

Oh and I never buy parking passes, I'm cheap and just park in the neighborhoods around mesa, or on Park BLVD at city.

  2. There were no open sections at City, Mesa or Mirimar. Not even waitlist spots when I tried to register well over a month ago. That includes when I checked for silly fun classes also.

I didn't pay to park either. I find it anathema to pay for parking when I have a motorcycle. So I parked over near the park/where I bmx race and just walked over. Screw them, and they have the nerve to ask me for more money.

    Good luck tomorrow.
