IBJJF World Championships
I told myself that if I medaled in the Pan-Ams I would go to the Mundials (Worlds). Well, I medaled. So as soon as registration is up, I am getting in!
The Mundials are in June, up at the pyramid at CS Long Beach. Same weight and class as I was in at the Pan-Ams.
This is my chance to a world champion at something! How many people can say that???

April Fools............
April Fools is a holiday best celebrated on roommates or younger siblings. Or a less cared for co-worker.
Things that have worked for me in the past, or have worked on me are:
1.taping the spray nozzle down at the kitchen sink so when you turn on the water you get a good spraying
2.changing all the clocks in the house to different times
3.leaving a message to return a call, the number is a psychiatric hotline, or std one
4.super gluing the lids shut on various food and drink items
5.short sheeting a bed
6.filling the cap of a person's deodorant with rice
7.wiring a battery to the door handle
8.blindly chasing a girl named April who everyone else knew was a lesbian, but you.

drug war
As you read, my house keeper just had a family member murdered in TJ. And the other stuff that goes with that...
In doing more research for my own personal knowledge, my book and concern for humanity in general I went to a presentation in Chula Vista tonight about the drug war at the border and its effects on border communities.
The presentation was 30 minutes of primarily open source intelligence of things on the national level. It really seemed to just be a meeting to get people in the community involved in some sort of action group.
Not for me. I wanted to hear more and know more and especially as things are on the local level. That did not happen. A candid 45 minutes with a police captain or CBP officer would have yielded more.
