I know it, I preach it to students that if you want to get really good you need to stick with just one gun for a year of competition.
My plan, and what I dumped a bunch of money into was to shoot Limited for all of 2018. Shoot major power factor, shoot a single action gun, shoot a high capacity division and make Master in it. Things to be learned from all of those items.
But then I shot my Carry Optics gun today for the first time in 9 months and realized how much I enjoy it. So now I'm torn...
