naps-a-million rides again

I don't think he realized just how hot the dessert gets in the summer....

So his first trip to Ocotillo Wells went great. He crashed a few times but got up and kept going. Started to turn a little better.

He also drove my truck around. Heck, I even got him to do some 'donuts' after a bit of prodding. (though his version of "slow down!" and my version of "slow down!" lead to the truck getting airborn earlier in his driving foray)

And it all came together a week later when I took him to Amago MX track and chased him around. Jumping, shifting and berms all started to make more sense. And he was jumping the bike rather than my truck!

Various pictures....

He dies.........

I have not read any of the books, not even one sentance. I have only watched the first movie totally and two others for about 15 minutes. So I really had no idea what to expect when I went to go see the latest Harry Potter movie.

Well........I really liked it. I would give it an 8.5/10. I'm sure everyone under the age of 18 already knows what happens in the story and could tell me all the things the movie left out or changed but I liked it still the same.

So if you are like me and not a fan but are a fan of movies in general, make the time and go see it.(i think this is a fan made poster)

disgusting

At La Jolla Shores today there was a morbidly obese, mentally retarded, approximately 40 year old, non English speaking male sitting under the outdoor rinsing shower. It looked as if he was really enjoying being under the water. So much so that he wouldn't move and didn't acknowledge anyone and soon a long line of people afraid of telling him to move formed.

Finally some family members came and attempted to clear him out. Big Boy did not like this. He wasn't done and to prove it to all of us he stripped down naked and proceeded to clean his booty in the "rinse off your feet" shower.

Yep, today I got to see a 300+ pound mentally challenged naked guy taking a shower at the beach. Well, hundreds of us did and I doubt any of us will forget it anytime soon. Sadly.

odd......

At Union Bank of CA today I saw a sign stating they would not accept the "IOU's" from the state of CA for deposit any longer.

Out near Pala I saw a girl riding a horse near a field of buffalo. She was texting while horseback.

lesson learned.....

1. It is not what you know, it is "who" you know. This is especially the case if you want a job or a favor. We will see if the job situation changes for me in the next few weeks based on who I know.

2. Don't talk about people. Last night at dinner I was 'talking' about someone and guess what? I bit the end of my tongue very hard, so much so that it bled for 8 minutes and is still sore the next morning.

3. If it is too easy, then it isn't worth it. So I stopped reading the book weeks ago in EMT class. I also stopped doing the homework in a meaningful manner, just copying the answers from the back. And yet I am still passing all the tests and such. Others in the class have to read, reread, make flash cards, highlight stuff and so on. They put out soo much effort and struggle to pass while I do not even the minimum and I pass easily. (I am averaging 89% on tests, 92% on quizzes and 95% on homework) Things that are too easy rarely hold my attention and thus are rarely worth it. I am glad I am hopefully only using this to bolder my PA school application. (PA school will of course be challenging!)

A Mirror

Sometimes I wonder if my failing physical body is a reflection on some emotional, spiritual or intelectual failing in an other aspect of my ...
